Some feedback from the participants - in their own words:
“Eu estava bem receoso no começo por ser meu primeiro curso ligado ao oceano, mas conforme eu fui participando das aulas, eu fui me envolvendo bastante por causa da didática das pessoas escolhidas e pelo jeito como as responsáveis pelo curso conduziam tudo de maneira tranquila e incrível!” (I was quite apprehensive at first because it was my first course related to the ocean, but as I participated in the classes, I became more involved because of the teaching methods of the people chosen and the way those responsible for the course conducted everything in a calm and incredible manner!)

“As a person who had a little knowledge on marine biology this program has helped me to understand the challenges that the oceans are facing and it's up to us to take care of our oceans because they provide us with so many ecosystem services, the future of our oceans is in our hands and this can be achieved by working together to save our ocean and our planet, promote ocean education among youth and the public.”
Avhavhudzani Fiona Mashau, South Africa
IOI Ocean Academy, South Africa
“I enjoyed engaging with multidisciplinary students, gaining diverse perspectives. Learning about ocean topics in Swahili was particularly valuable, as it will help me connect better with communities on ocean issues. I also appreciated the focus on climate and ocean law, as well as innovative approaches to adaptation. It was a highly resourceful and enriching experience!”
