Under the auspices of IOI Ocean Academy HQ @Malta, International Maritime Management & Consultancy (IMMC) Singapore and IOI Singapore (Focal Point), the Ocean Literacy Training Programme on virtual platform is open to all interested individuals who want to enrich their knowledge about the Ocean, Our Source of Life and Livelihoods. Enhanced with new interesting add-ons, the Ocean Literacy Training Program will establish a good understanding about our Ocean as a symbol of our lifeline, management of our sustainable relationship with the Ocean, its rich resources, beauty and blessings and contributions towards our well-being. The course will also discuss the Ocean as a living entity, its bio-diversity, marine environment, concept of sustainability and application of blue economy for the Ocean related activities, business ventures and environmental shipping. A brief introduction of sustainable development, Rio+20 and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) 2030. Newly introduced interesting content on the latest happenings at Paris on the Plastic Pollution Treaty including Marine Environment has been included for updates.

• जैव-विविधता और पर्यावरण संरक्षण, समुद्री प्रदूषण पर आईएमओ (IMO) विनियामक अनुपालन, सामुद्रिक प्रदुषण अनुलग्नक (MARPOL ANNEXES) और स्थानीय और वैश्विक  स्तर पर महासागर के मुद्दों में भविष्य की चुनौतियों पर अर्जित ज्ञान की पहचान और  अनुप्रयोग;
• समुद्र के कानून पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र कन्वेंशन (यूएनसीएलओएस - UNCLOS), पूर्वी एशिया के समुद्रों के लिए पर्यावरण प्रबंधन में साझेदारी की भूमिका (पीईएमएसईए - PEMSEA) और हिंद महासागर रिम एसोसिएशन (आईओआरए - IORA) की मूल बातें समझें;
• समुद्री पर्यावरण सहित प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण संधि;
• नीली अर्थव्यवस्था की मूल बातें, समुद्री उद्योग और एकीकृत तटीय प्रबंधन (आईसीएम – ICM) में इसके अनुप्रयोग को समझें;
• समुद्री पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र, तटीय कटाव, मैंग्रोव का महत्व और उनकी कमी के प्रभावों के बारे में सीखना;
• महासागर से संबंधित खतरों, अवसरों और समाधानों की समझ;
• समुद्री संसाधनों के संरक्षण और प्रबंधन की समझ;
• पर्यावरणीय नौवहन और वैश्विक जलवायु परिवर्तन चुनौतियाँ;
