Azmath Jaleel joins the IOI Governing Board as a member following nomination and endorsement by the Board. Azmath is a long standing collaborator of the IOI, and offers IOI Ocean Academy modules for audiences from his native Maldives in local Dhivehi language. His academic background interests include maritime transport and marine management with focus on the welfare and human rights of people working at sea, reflecting his technical and academic expertise in the field of maritime transport policy. Dr Jaleel is currently the IOI Focal Point and IOI Ocean Academy Director for Maldives and an Honorary Lecturer at Cardiff University.
