आईओआई महासागर अकादमी मुख्यालय माल्टा, अंतर्राष्ट्रीय समुद्री प्रबंधन और परामर्श (आईएमएमसी) सिंगापुर और आईओआई सिंगापुर (फोकल प्वाइंट) की छत्रछाया और तत्वावधान में, आभासी मंच पर महासागर साक्षरता कार्यक्रम उन सभी इच्छुक व्यक्तियों के लिए खुला है जो महासागर, हमारे जीवन और आजीविका के स्रोत के बारे में अपने ज्ञान आधारित जानकारी को समृद्ध करना चाहते हैं। 20 घंटे के आईओआई महासागर साक्षरता पाठ्यक्रम (हिंदी) का दूसरा सत्र 10 मॉड्यूल में विभाजित है और प्रत्येक दो (2) घंटे की अवधि का होगा, जो पाठ्यक्रम अनुसूची नोट्स में प्रकाशित 05 जुलाई 2024 से 14 जुलाई 2024 तक शुरू होगा।

नए दिलचस्प विषय “पृथ्वी के जलवायु परिवर्तन पर महासागर की भूमिका: संकट का कारण और हमारे जीवन पर प्रभाव” के साथ बढ़ाया गया; महासागर की भूमिका: कार्बन-सिंक से समाधान तक” और अपडेट किए गए ऐड-ऑन के साथ, महासागर साक्षरता प्रशिक्षण कार्यक्रम हमारे महासागर को हमारी जीवन रेखा के प्रतीक के रूप में, हमारे सतत संबंध महासागर के प्रबंधन, इसके समृद्ध संसाधनों, हमारे महासागर की सुंदरता और आशीर्वाद और हमारे कल्याण के लिए योगदान के बारे में अच्छी समझ स्थापित करेगा। पाठ्यक्रम में महासागर को एक जीवित इकाई के रूप में, इसकी जैव-विविधता, समुद्री पर्यावरण, स्थिरता की अवधारणा और महासागर से संबंधित गतिविधियों, व्यावसायिक उपक्रमों और पर्यावरणीय शिपिंग के लिए नीली अर्थव्यवस्था के अनुप्रयोग पर भी चर्चा की जाएगी। सतत विकास, रियो+20 और संयुक्त राष्ट्र सतत विकास लक्ष्य (यूएन एसडीजी) 2030 का संक्षिप्त परिचय। समुद्री पर्यावरण सहित प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण संधि पर पेरिस में नवीनतम घटनाओं पर नई शुरू की गई दिलचस्प सामग्री को अपडेट के लिए शामिल किया गया है।

Under the umbrella and auspices of IOI Ocean Academy HQ in Malta, International Maritime Management & Consultancy (IMMC) Singapore and IOI Singapore (Focal Point), the Ocean Literacy Programme on virtual platform is open to all interested individuals who would like to enrich their knowledge based information about the Ocean, Our Source of Life and Livelihood. The second session of the IOI Ocean Literacy Course (Hindi) of 20 hours is subdivided in 10 modules and each of two (2) hours duration will be commencing from 05 July 2024 – 14 July 2024 as published in the Course schedule Notes. 

Enhanced with new interesting topic “The Role of the Ocean on Earth’s Climate Change : Cause of the Crisis and Effect on Our Life; The role of the ocean: from carbon-sink to solution” and updated add-ons, the Ocean Literacy Training Program will establish a good understanding about our ocean as a symbol of our lifeline, management of our sustainable relationship ocean, its rich resources, beauty and blessings of our ocean and contributions towards our well-being. The course will also discuss on ocean as a living entity, its bio-diversity, marine environment, concept of sustainability and application of blue economy for the ocean related activities, business ventures and environmental shipping. A brief introduction of sustainable development, Rio+20 and United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) 2030. Newly introduced interesting content on the latest happenings at Paris on the Plastic Pollution Treaty including Marine Environment has been included for updates.

• महासागर की बुनियादी समझ को समझें और लागू करें तथा महासागर के साथ अधिक टिकाऊ तरीके से कैसे रहें;

• जैव-विविधता और पर्यावरण संरक्षण, समुद्री प्रदूषण पर आईएमओ (IMO) विनियामक अनुपालन, सामुद्रिक प्रदुषण अनुलग्नक (MARPOL ANNEXES) और स्थानीय और वैश्विक  स्तर पर महासागर के मुद्दों में भविष्य की चुनौतियों पर अर्जित ज्ञान की पहचान और  अनुप्रयोग;
• समुद्र के कानून पर संयुक्त राष्ट्र कन्वेंशन (यूएनसीएलओएस - UNCLOS), पूर्वी एशिया के समुद्रों के लिए पर्यावरण प्रबंधन में साझेदारी की भूमिका (पीईएमएसईए - PEMSEA) और हिंद महासागर रिम एसोसिएशन (आईओआरए - IORA) की मूल बातें समझें;
• समुद्री पर्यावरण सहित प्लास्टिक प्रदूषण संधि;
• नीली अर्थव्यवस्था की मूल बातें, समुद्री उद्योग और एकीकृत तटीय प्रबंधन (आईसीएम – ICM) में इसके अनुप्रयोग को समझें;
• समुद्री पारिस्थितिकी तंत्र, तटीय कटाव, मैंग्रोव का महत्व और उनकी कमी के प्रभावों के बारे में सीखना;
• महासागर से संबंधित खतरों, अवसरों और समाधानों की समझ;
• समुद्री संसाधनों के संरक्षण और प्रबंधन की समझ;
• पर्यावरणीय नौवहन और वैश्विक जलवायु परिवर्तन चुनौतियाँ;
• जीएचजी उत्सर्जन को कम करने के लिए आईएमओ रणनीति।
